Rules, controls and help for Scorpion Solitaire

Take a moment with Scorpion Solitaire before moving to another game. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Look at what changes after your first action.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Take a closer look while playing

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Make the next step deliberately.

What you are aiming for

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Notice how the game responds to your input.

Follow these playing steps

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

Follow the example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Take a moment to compare.

A common point of confusion

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
